Active Learning During School Closure
Dear 3rd/4th grade Parent/Guardian/Student,
Come spend some time with us every weekday from 10-11!
Here is the Zoom Office Hours URL:
(Please note: Our Zoom office hours will not apply during the actual spring break week of April 13-17th. We'll be excited to continue our Zoom meetings the following Monday, April 20.)
Coco, Mrs. Olivia, and I are sending all of our love and best wishes to every family! We want to encourage you to remember to get outside, breathe the fresh air, and get some exercise as often as possible! If it's raining, remember that you can sign up for GoNoodle!!! That's great exercise too!
If you are experiencing any difficulties with connectivity or devices, etc, please let me know! (Students can check out their chromebooks from the office if needed. Just call the school, and they will be able to help you with that!) Typical school office hours right now are 9-noon.
Did you know that you can visit any of the teachers during their office hours? Just choose that teacher from the classroom tabs, and join with that Zoom ID!
Join Mrs. Katie (our school counselor) every weekday from 2-3 via Zoom
Mrs. Katie's Zoom ID is 659-801-272
Join Mrs. Mac on Tues/Thurs from 11-noon. Her Zoom ID is 629-756-456
Time: 9:30 am, Tues-Fri.
Questions/concerns about academic progress have been on all of our minds! Please be assured that the State of California is in the process of navigating those questions. Students won't be penalized for any of the academics that they were unable to complete during this closure. As soon as we are able to return to school, we will be assessing students, and developing strategies as needed for academic growth. If you have any concerns or questions, please contact Mr. Wallace. He would be happy to talk with you!
A new enrichment packet for this week is ready! Pick up the packets (actual paper pkts) at the school, or download here and print at home. We plan to continue with a new packet each week throughout the closure; each one being available by Friday of the prior week.
Please note: Completion of the packet is optional! This work is not required, and will not be collected, graded, or become part of the student’s grades. It is being provided so students can practice skills during the closure. We strongly encourage students to complete the packets as a way of staying academically strong, and continuing their academic growth!
A list of digital resources is available here. Please contact me if you need log-in information or student passwords.
I'm confident that we will weather this situation, I'm so glad that we can support each other through it!
Please feel invited to contact me with any questions or concerns, both now, and throughout the school year. email: firstname.lastname@example.org or call the school (839-3201) and leave a message.
