Hey there! This is my second year teaching first grade! I am so lucky to be a part of the Fieldbrook community. I moved to Humboldt in 2019 after graduating from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science in education. I taught at a Waldorf preschool for 2 years, until I attended Cal Poly Humboldt to receive my elementary credential. I am currently working on M.Ed in Literacy. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in 2nd grade because my teachers were the kindest, most caring and consistent mentors in my life. My daily driver as a teacher is to provide accessible, rich and experiential learning opportunities for students, and make sure they are empowered, loved and encouraged every step of the way! I incorporate social-emotional learning into most every lesson, and tie in art at any opportunity!

I have a large family, but my household consists of my best friend, our kitties, and many plants. I dabble in many hobbies including traveling, gardening, photography, painting, music production, reading, and cooking/baking.
