Ms Kaney

My name is Michelle Kaney, and I am very excited to be joining the Fieldbrook Elementary School community. My husband and I moved to area last fall from Montana, and we are really enjoying the beautiful redwood forests, coastal beaches, and community activities around Humboldt. I’ve been teaching for what feels like most of my life, first as a camp counselor in high school and college, as an English teacher in Japan for 15 years, and in public schools in grades 3-8 for several years since. I believe hanging out with young people keeps my own spirit young, and engaging students in learning teaches me something new every day. Outside of school, I love to travel, read, and see live music whenever I can.
