Brunner's Bulletin - Week of Oct. 14
Happy Wednesday Awesome 5/6 Families,
I hope you’re all having a great week! I apologize for the delayed newsletter as we settle back into our routine after conferences. It was a pleasure meeting with everyone and gaining insights about your child through your perspective. I truly enjoy working with your kids and discovering their unique personalities and gifts. I'm excited to keep them engaged and foster their love of learning!
If your spouse or co-parent is not receiving these emails, please send me their email address, and I’ll be happy to add them to the list. Thank you!
Classroom Update:
This week, students are working on a spooky narrative. We focused on four vocabulary words (Rickety, ominous, cauldron, petrify) that students are now required to put into their stories using correct context. This will lead into a more detailed story focusing on: setting, character development, protagonist, antagonist, and making sure their stories have a beginning, middle and end.
** As the rainy season is approaching, I’m looking to enhance our classroom experience with board games, which promote social interaction, critical thinking, patience, and creativity while providing a great screen-free alternative. If you have any board games to donate, I would greatly appreciate your support!
Homework:
*Repeated info* Homework was reviewed in class. If they are unclear on a portion, no worries, remind them to advocate for themselves and I'll be sure to review the directions. *Homework is reviewed with students every Monday.
