Brunner’s Bulletin

- Halloween: we will have a parade on Halloween morning at 8:45. Please remind your kids that they have to change out of their costumes after the parade and have regular clothes to wear for the rest of the day.
- Fall Field day is on Thursday between recess and lunch as an entire school outside is put on by the boosters. *It is imperative that students bring a change of clothes to maintain the integrity of their costume for Trick or Treating.
- Students have earned their first party of the year!! We will watch a movie on Thursday and would love donations of pre-popped popcorn/ chips and treats.
Homework:
Homework is reviewed with students every Monday. If they are unclear on a portion, remind them to advocate for themselves and I'll be sure to review the directions.
What's for homework?
- Life Skills: Vacuum - Students need to vacuum one portion of the house. If vacuuming isn’t an option, they may sweep.
- Writing: RACE (Rewrite the question, Answer the Question, Cite text evidence, Explain)
- Reading Log
- Math Packet - 6th grade math packet; 5th grade - Daily Homework Pages this week.
Current Events in the Classroom: Ask your child about
- 5th Math: This was a long math unit. We will be starting to review this week and all of next week. Tentative Unit test on Friday, if students are ready.
- Haunted House Project
- Mars
- Girls’ Basketball
- Music Elective: Ukulele, Music Tech, Choir
- Music Extracurricular: Steel Pan Drums and Strings
