Dear Families,


Happy Monday everyone! Here is what is happening this week:


  • We have our Schools to Symphony field trip this week on Thursday. We will leave at 9:00 and return before lunch. 

  • Garden Day is this Saturday here at Fieldbrook school. Come down and volunteer to work in the garden.

  • First Responders Day is Friday the 25th. Students will get to talk to and learn from firefighters, police officers, search and rescue, and others. We are so excited! 

  • This Friday is Friday Fun Day and the theme is Matching Day. 

  • It’s yearbook time! If you have pictures of school events that you would like to share, please email them to [email protected] (or stop by the office for other ways to transfer photos). Thank you!

  • If you are interested, we would love to have you or your family members come in and teach or share something with the class. Please let me know and we can set it up. 

  • We will be having mini classes again this year! They will be in the afternoons on Wednesday June 4th and Thursday June 5th. Please reach out if you are able to teach a class or have any questions. More information to come.

  • Please make sure to read the weekly update sent from the office each week for information on other topics.

Note From Ms. Kaney about 4th Grade Math: 

Fractions, fractions, fractions! We are working hard to wrap our heads around visualizing and comparing. 


Message about S.E.L. (Social emotional learning) with Ms. Taylor:

Each week students are receiving social emotional lessons from Ms. Taylor. These lessons focus on understanding and managing emotions, empathy building, developing communication skills such as assertiveness, problem solving skills, goal setting, and understanding different perspectives. The focus of SEL is to help students understand and manage strong emotions, build healthy relationships, and become effective problem solvers.
