Dear Families,

 

Happy Monday! We have a busy couple weeks ahead, so here’s what’s going on:

 

  • This week the 3rd-8th graders will be doing district wide assessments, NWEA MAPS. Please make sure your child gets a good night of sleep, has a healthy breakfast and arrives on time to school. Thank you! 

 

  • Our Winter Concert is this Friday at 1:30. All are welcome!

 

  • Friday Fun day is also this Friday and the theme is Dress to Impress!

 

  • This is the last week that room 8 is collecting donated items for our local shelters.

If you are able to help, please consider sending in any of the following for us to donate: Blankets, dog and cat toys (gently used accepted as well as new), dog and cat treats, towels/sheets, dog and cat food, pee pads, cat litter, leashes and/or collars. Thank you for anything you are able to donate and thank you for all of the donations we have already received!

 

  • If you haven’t done so already, please take a few minutes to fill out the survey for our annual LCAP: https://forms.gle/QKZmjaLsuhUuoCKg6 (See attached info sheet to learn a little more about the LCAP.)

 

  • Parent/teacher conferences are the week of February 9th. Please keep an eye out for conference forms that will be sent home this week. It will be a 1:30 release time all week. 

 

  • I will be sending home a class list of names for valentines. Please make sure there is a valentine for each student in the class. They do not have to make one for the teachers, but I will provide a list of the adults they see daily/weekly, if they would like to make one for them. If you need a class set of valentines please let me know and I can get some to you. We will have a little celebration and pass out valentine cards on the 13th. 

 

  • President’s Break is the week of the 16th, no school all week.

 

  • Please make sure to read the weekly update sent from the office each week for information on other topics.
