About the Teacher:

Being an experienced teacher of over twenty-five years, I have been teaching at Fieldbrook
School since the fall of 2001. Over the years, I have taught Kindergarten through 8th
grades. I enjoy living and working in the Fieldbrook community
and teaching in a small school surrounded by grazing pasture lands. My family
includes my husband, two adult children who attended Fielbrook School , and multiple animals .

I absolutely love gardening , taking care of our family's Nubian Goat Herd , as well as getting outside in nature.
Being a  reading specialist, I emphasize the importance of daily reading and
strategic reading skills. My education includes a B.A. in Liberal Studies at
Sacramento State University in the Multicultural/Multilingual Center.  I
completed the reading credential through Humboldt State University and have
completed graduate level coursework on curriculum and development, too. Most
recently, I completed my CLAD Certificate through the University of San Diego.

Mission For The Class

Our classroom is a  caring community who values each other's skills and
talents. We love learning and improving our skills through multiple types of
tasks and activities. We are a class participating in activities to foster taking care of our community such as raising Steelhead in the classroom. I believe we(me, parents, and child) are a team working together for children's success.
