This Week’s Highlights:

    • Tomorrow we are beginning our CAASPP testing (State testing). It can be a long test, and snacks make everything better.
      • If you are able to, snacks, hard candy, gum would be greatly appreciated. Candy ideas: jolly ranchers, life savers, lolli-pops.
    • Ms. Lela is coming in tomorrow to lead a fun Art Project using many of student’s pets, and some wild animals as inspiration.
    • The Forest Service will be leading a presentation on Wednesday to discuss what they do, or how to preserve and take care of our forests. Ask your students about their key takeaways after school on Wednesday!
    • There is a Board Meeting tonight, it is open to all!
  • Open House is next Thursday - Mark your calendars!

Volunteer Openings:

Cookie Sales – Parent Volunteer Opportunity: Repeated Info

Our 5th and 6th graders will be taking over cookie sales to support their future Catalina trip when it’s their turn to attend. We’re looking for a parent volunteer who would like to take the lead on organizing and supporting this effort.

  • Looking for some bakers to help fundraise money for Catalina and provide a goodie for the Falcons of the Week:

I’d like to invite parents to volunteer in the classroom — either to share about their jobs and careers, or something you are passionate about. Help lead a Fun Friday activity, like art or game, PE, or any other engaging experience for the students. Let me know if you would like to help out in the classroom.

Homework Spotlight:

  • No homework this week

Note about 6th Grade Math:

Last week’s homework was our last math homework for the year.  We will continue to build upon the skills we have learned so far this year, applying the tools we have to new concepts that will connect us to 7th grade skills. Students can always get onto the practice site, IXL to review or expand their skills.
